I bought a drop in step for my IG liner pool this year. I decided to buy one for my 65 year old mother and my neices and nephews to use. They all like it.
It was also a way for my dogs to get out if they fall in while I am gone. It took them a couple of times before they would head for the steps instead of the side. I just practice it again with them last night. Neither one likes being in the pool.
The step "gives" or "bounce" more than I like but overall I am glad I bought it. The pad tends to slide out some but it is pretty easy to get it back in place. I have good flow back into the pool where the steps are so I don't have any algea problems with mine.
I plan on putting the built in kind under the liner when I replace the liner in a year or two.
Best of luck.
