Everything has been really right in a row - except we had the first inspection delayed (the city again), and then a lot of rain right before the shotcrete, with a cave-in that had to be repaired.

This week has been the first one where we haven't had any movement - but then again it is good to have the concrete cure for about a month before they install the finish - so I am not complaining.

So according to the "schedule" we are about a week behind - not too bad - I expected about 16 weeks from contract to swim (which would be the beginning of Septmeber) - and now I think they may be done in the middle of August - so closer to 14 weeks.
We actually got the permit within 3 days of them filing it...they just took a long time to file it. The permit is now issued and I did finally recieve confirmation that they are going to dig either tomorrow or Monday...I think I was just getting worried that I was going to get into one of those horror story situations. I have heard so many of them that I am watching everything to make sure I dont let anything slip by. I refuse to pay a premium to get screwed.

However, now that the coordinator is involved it seems like things are going much smoother. In the last 48 hours all of the utilities have been marked and the coordinator has at least made contact with me to get some movement going. Maybe I judged a little too soon?
