No, but they are preparing a bid for me even as we speak.

Not a particularly helpful post, I realize...

I have contracted them and I must admit my first impression was that they were very professional and organized. I searched around for almost 2 years looking at every pool builder I could find and I decided that they were the ones. I checked them with the BBB and spoke with several other people and they recieved rave reviews. They are not the cheapest in fact almost the highest in my case, but I figured I would rather pay a little more for peace of mind...well I am getting a little nervous.

We contracted them on June 20th...to date, the only progress is the pool layout done in my backyard. I have been staring at sticks in the ground for two weeks. I have heard horror stories about the pool industry and I am wondering if I am about the live out a script??

I think the only horror story that you are likely in for is that which is associated with having a pool built during the busy time of year.

You are probably right but my only beef with that is the fact that I told them I wanted to wait until the fall for that very reason and they assured me that they would be prompt and on time.

Actually I am not that upset about the timing as much as I am the lack of communication to let us know what is going on. Example: If you tell someone you are going to call them on Monday to give them an update then call them...even if you dont have any information I still think it is curtious and professional to follow through with your actions!

    Forgive me for rambling...

Not sure if this is too helpful either but a house down the street from mine (Kingwood, TX) had a pool installed a few months ago by that builder. I dont know the homeowners but did see the Richards Total Backyard Solutions sign out front...
