Default Best FC levels to swim?

Had an algae problem last week but with the help of bleach I am on the road to recovery. I brought my FC up to 16 last night and the pool is clear at the shallow end and I can almost see the main drain at the deep end. I'm having a party here in 5 hours and I was wondering what I should do with the FC levels. Right now my FC is 8. Should I throw some more bleach in now? Am I risking the algae coming back if I don't do bleach today. I could bring FC up to 16 again tonight. No parties at least for a couple of days....

IMHO, I think swimming when you have an infestation is a mistake. My rec is to keep it at 15-16 ppm and clear it up! (I'm assuming your CYA is 30 to 50ppm).

If you must swim in the higher FC levels, be sure to wear older bathing suits as they may fade.

If there is algae in the pool that means the water is NOT santized...plain and simple. I would NOT swim until you have solved the algae problem.
