What is your stabilizer level? If it is high (above maybe 60 ppm) then I would swim but wear an old bathing suit. If it is low I would let it drop a bit.

Great- my CYA is around 28. I added 4 lbs 2 days ago- hasn't rose much. 30,000 gal vinyl lined. So is it UNSAFE to swim, or just may bleach us out a little?

well, if you are still shocking the pool because of algae I would not swim. If you have stopped shocking then a good sunny day will burn off a lot of the chlorine!

Algae looks gone.. water pretty clear- I think I'll turn off my SWG tonight. The party starts at 11:00 am. Not much time to burn off. Let me re-phrase this- is it dangerous to the health by swimming in 22 cl with 0 cc? I can take a bad taste, or fading.

Thanks again- just getting a little worried!

don't really think it's dangerous but it might be a bit irritating and can bleach a swimsuit. it IS dangerous to swim in a pool wil algae becuase it means that the water is not sanitized.

Thanks I saw where levels over 30 become dangerous. I'm at 22 tonight and turned off my swg- should have a lot of kids over tomorrow and sun, so we'll see.
