    Default Raised CYA level

    Greetings--

I had my water checked at the store before we left for a few days. CYA level was 45. Other levels were in line.

I added 3+gal of regular bleach. I put 6 CL pucks in the feeder and 3 in a floater.

We got back 4 days later. Out of CL and water was a bit cloudy. I fixed that with a good dose of bleach and some patience.

I had the store test the water again once the CL levels dropped to 4.
    CYA level showed 100 !
    QUESTION-- 9 pucks raised a 32k gal pool's CYA level to 100 ???

Don't see how 9 pucks could have raised CYA that much for your size pool. My guess is one or both of the tests is not accurate. Get your own test kit from poolsolutions or Taylor to test CYA. I know there are good and reputable pool stores out there, but I just seem to not find them. Perhaps you are in the same boat.
