    Thanks for the reply. to answer ayour questions.

    I have a 10,000 gallon above ground vinyl lined pool. The filter is a sand filter that now uses Zeosand, just changed last month. I have never had metals in the water, but how would I check to make sure?

    Copper test kit and iron test kit (or strips may be available). Test for both as the staining potential and treatments are different for both.

    some pool stores will run metal tests for you.. then try to sell you something to get rid of them. Just get the results and tell us what they said.

    It will test everything you need for your pool. The only things it does not test are metals and salt but most people don't need those anyways. Ben does sell a separate salt kit though.
