I am definitely going to switch over to either PoolPilot or Aqualogic and have read all the posts discussing the differences between the two. My issue is that I really would like to consolidate my pump and booster pump into a single timer w/ freeze protection.
I know the Aqualogic provides this feature even in their base product and it seems if I go with the Pool Pilot I would still need to purchase a separate Intermatic timer for this functionality.
I guess my real question is since I really am not interested in other automation features (lights, waterfall, valves, etc.) should I still consider the Aqualogic or are the bells and whistles in the Pool Pilot worth paying slightly more for when I add an external timer? I really like the auto-temp adjust, by-pass manifold and salt reading calibration on the Pool Pilot but just trying to justify the additional cost of something that is built into the AquaLogic.
I am also self installing but don't think either way will be much different since I will have to redo all plumbing and electrical anyway.
Thanks for the help.
