    Don't know how many gallons your pool holds, but with a TA of 280, it's liable to take much more than a cup of acid to move your pH, and lowering the TA isn't an instant process. You need to add enough acid to lower your pH, then start aerating.

    Pool is about 10,000 gallons. I will up the acid and see if that helps any. Thanks.

    Get the Alk #s down and keep an eye on your PH. I would go slow and keep testing. I think the Cal is a little high but I think that can wait until you get the Alk in the normal range .
