Usually about 1 lb per 10,000 gal. I have used less - I would try 2 lbs first, I usually walk around the pool dropping it down the sides. Let the water cirulate (put the pump on circulate not filter) for about 1/2 hour. If all the stains are gone, you won't need any more. You will see that the staining comes off very quickly - if not all of the stains are gone, then add more where you see them the heaviest, let it circulate some more. When the stains are gone, put in the metal free (sequestering agent). Let circulate about 1/2 hour more, then put the pump on filter, and keep it on filter 24/7 for at least 2 days. Keep your ph at 7.2, it will be hard because the stain treatment is very acidic. After 24 hours put a chlorine puck in the skimmer. After 48 hours you can start to raise your chlorine - do not shock for at least 2 weeks. If you have any questions, feel free to ask.
