I also have a small wrinkle on one of my steps. Would be interested in any tips. Chris
I have 2 wrinkles showed up in the shallow end of pool -- it's in the shape of an X - about a foot long near the slope to deep end in center of pool. They are tight together.
How did this get there - how do I get rid of it (step by step please). I read another post about a hose behind the liner -- but I can not pump it out from behind liner and that's slightly beyond my comfort level.
Also -- I had a hole I patched a little while ago - that was half way down the deep end and we had alot of rain recently -- but nothing came out of the french drain - (which I've seen occur before - but never had wrinkles.
Thanks - let me know if you need more information.

In the old forum archives before the crash this year, someone had suggested using a bowling ball to flatten out the wrinkles. Don't know if it would work, but it's worth a shot!

Still looking for suggestions. Please ....
I saw mention of a plunger - how does that work? the pool store - install said I would have to completely drain for them to touch it -- and cost the same as installing a new liner. (They also said no-one takes them up on fixing wrinkls -- wonder why?)
We had wrinkles in the shallow end of our pool last year as a result of excessive rainfall soaking into the ground and floating the liner. After waiting a month or so to make sure the ground had plenty of time to dry out, we drained the pool until the shallow end was dry, putting a couple of sandbags in the corners to keep the liner from slipping once the weight of the water was off of it. Got on our hands and knees and slowly pushed, rubbed, slid, shoved, cajoled and cussed the liner back into position. We used a vacuum to hold the liner in position along the wall and then refilled the pool. It wasn't an easy or fun job by any means but it worked fine and the pool looks like new.
You might check with your pool builder and see how much they would charge if you do the draining, help them with the liner placement and refill. If you can do the bulk of the time consuming work and they don't have to be there more than a couple of hours they may not charge much.
I bought a $1 plunger from the dollar store and got the wrinkles out. What I did was put the plunger next to the wrinkle go suction then pulled / slide the plunger back and got rid of all the wrinkles. Once I got the big part down -- I could easily smooth it out with my foot.
So for $1 -- I save a few hundred.
