I received my test kit about two weeks ago and these are the first test results that I feel confident I've done correctly.

FC - 10
CC - 0
TC - 10
PH - 7.5
TA - 140
CAL - 230
CYA - between 90-100
TEMP - 81

I have about a 23,000 gallon gunite pool and my questions are:

1. Is it alright to leave my TA at 140 since I have my ph where I want it?

2. I'm trying to keep my FC between 8 PPM and 15 PPM since my CYA is so high, but until I received my test kit I had no way of knowing what it was. About a month ago I started to get algae so it must have been below 8 PPM, it was certainly higher than the 3 PPM which was the highest level on my old test kit. Using the bleach calculator I raised it to what should have been 30 PPM and tried to maintain it for about 1 week. Since then I haven't seen any sign of algae, but I lose 3-4 PPM in a 24 hour period. Is this normal or am I still having some algae issues? I am using bleach to chlorinate my pool now in an attempt to eventually bring my CYA down. It also seems to keep my ph from dropping which has been an issue in the past.
