We moved into a house with a 10-15 year old 15,000 IG plaster pool that has a single Hayward light. It had never been connected so I did the connection and it actually worked. But it looks like it's probably a 500 watt lamp, pointed at the house. I connected it to a switch circuit that operated some floodlights, so it has two - three-way switches inside the house.

I'd like to be able to dim it by adding a dimmer out at the junction box where I connected to the cord going down to the light. I'd set it to a lower brightness and then leave it. Do these lights dim okay without issues?
