Wood heater with Copper heat exchanger

I have been thinking about buying a Extenda-swim wood burning pool heater.

I would like it mostly to bring up pool temp at start up, after cloudy spells and after cool night shocks.

Just looking for opinions on their use of copper heat exhanger. They use 95' of type L soft copper.

I know low ph could put copper in the water, anything else?

I have 3 blonde girls so I don't want an Copper in water.

Copper is in many, if not all, commercial heaters. Just like you said, watch the pH and you'll have no issues. Let it get away and you'll have a family of greenies....not blondies.

I was also looking into their wood burning pool heater.
Did you get one?
My main concerns:
1. Smoking out the neighbors.
2. Like you said, copper pipe carrying the chlorinated water into the pool.
3. Speaking with a current owner, he said you must add firewood to the stove every 2 hours. I had hoped to load it up on a Friday night and let it heat until the morning, but it is not that efficient. You need to keep feeding it every 90 to 120 minutes, which could be a real chore.
