Until our perm pool electric was connected and the pool filled, we ran an extension cord (I know, I know) over and used old pump/filter set ups from old pools and hung the hoses over the side. We used plenty of bleach as we started so we could get ahead of the game as far as algae -
BBB is the "Holy Trinity" here at the Pool Forum and the easiest, cheapest and most sure fire way to keep your pool clean and clear with only a few minutes of time a day. Bleach, Borax and Baking Soda....and a good drops based test kit....and lots of help from the folks here.
Chin up, I was in your place about a month ago, wondering if there was any light at the end of the tunnel. There is a happy ending to all the work and its your family splashing in the pool on a hot day very soon... : )
