Default cya from Leslie's... is this the right stuff?

I just bought the conditoner enhancer (concentrated dry stabilizer).

Package reads: cyanuric acid..........99% other.................... 1%

Is this the right stuff?? This is the only thing they had except for the liquid.

I thought I read somewhere to buy the 60%.

Can I go ahead and add this?

    Thanks,
    Teena

You got the right stuff. the 60% you are refering to is the algaecide Polyquat.

Thank you. I'll send my hubby right out to put it in a sock and in the skimmer.

    I'm scared of that stuff.

Nothing to be afraid of. It won't creep out from under the bed at night and nibble on your toes or anything.

    LOL !

I was afraid of the fumes or maybe it's the fumes associated w/muriatic acid.

There is too much to read here. You think you kinda understand it, but when it's time to add something; it's "what do I doooo". I know, let me go read some more!

    Off subject here:

Tonight at Leslie's, this young boy of maybe 17 years old was testing the water and he told me to raise the TA. He tested 70. I tested 120. Anyway, I asked him why I should raise it and he turned from me and said to hubby, "The alk acts as a buffer for the PH". Hubby told him, "you can talk to her, she's the one doing the water, I know nothing about it".

Kinda felt like my last vehicle purchase. Had to take a stance there also.

I hate it when people assume the man is the authority!!!

It's the muriatic acid that has the fumes you need to stay away from.....
