If the groundwater around your pool gets high enough, your liner can float away from the wall....not good.
The pipe collects that ground water and allows you to remove it....good. I would suck it out 'til I couldn't get any more.![]()
Hi,
I have this pvc pipe that goes from my deck all the way under my deep end. I was told by my pool guy this is a well I can pump water out from under my pool.
My question is when would pumping water from there be necessary?
I did open it up today since we got a lot of rain a couple days ago and found water to the top. So I connected a pump and put a hose all the way down (went really far) and started pumping but after 5 minutes the water stayed pretty high in the pipe. So I just let it be.
Any info regarding the purpose of this well appreciated.
Thanks,
Ilan

Ok, thanks for the reply.
So do you guys check after each time it rains or just after some major rain?
Thanks,
