Why are you waiting a minute or two minutes? That's not part of the testing procedure for FC or CC.
Follow the instructions and don't improvise and your numbrs will be more accurate.

It wasn't that I was waiting a minute or two for any reason...I just did the test and then went to rince out the containers and it was pink again. I know the pool is under attack as it uncharacteristically stinks of chlorine to high heavens, but does not show any CC until after several minutes. I wasn't sure if those were true results or not. It seems as though my samples turn pink again after checking FC and also the CC test if I don't toss them right away. I was wondering if my supplies might have gotten cooked in the hot sun by FedEx and this was unusual.
I think this is pretty usual - I have seen a lot of posts with people saying the same thing. I wouldn't worry about it, if the test doesn't show pink right after you put in the 5 drops, then you don't have cc.
