    Default Ben's vac heads

Can anyone recommend either the 24# or 22# vac heads Ben sells for an 18x36 vinyl inground? We have a dedicated wall vac line, so suction is good. The vac I have had for 22 + years is a servicable Hayward, clear blue plastic, triangular in shape, with weights on top and brushes on the edges. Bens' don't appear to have brushes on them - I am wondering if they're really meant for concrete pools.

Just a thought: A link to the product might help.

Its on the Poolsolutions site at http://www.poolsolutions.com/cart/clean.php

The description doesn't describe it in great detail, as you'll see.

I use the 14" model and have for 3 years or so. It's designed for concrete, but you can use it on vinyl. I have torn my liner with it once due to my blockhead self, but as long as you remember to be extra, extra careful when it's cold (the vinyl is more brittle then) and remember you have to control it's fall when going into the deep end, you will be 100% fine.

It will clean your pool about 900% faster than a bush equipped head as those wheels really fly and the steering really works well.

For algae, it works great on dead algae, but if you have active, furry stuff....you will have to suck, bleach, kill, suck several times to get it all as it relies 100% on suction for it's "scrubbing" action. For dirty pools or touchups, use the regular brush, for fast touchups and regular cleanings, the 14" model works 10 times better.

Thanks so much! So I guess that if I need to brush off the algae, I can do it with my wall brush, let it settle then vac the next day with the Monster Vac Head. And thanks for the warning on tearing the liner.
