Default Problems with leakage of CYA reagent on arrival

Anyone have similar problems? I lost half of the refill bottle from the separate/bonus pack. Just trying to get a FYI out there to Ben, but never heard back from my emails. Maybe this will get to him....

I alerted Ben to it, hopefully he'll see it and respond.

My refill bottle of CYA was about 1/4 gone due to leakage, seems like the cap just comes lose durring transit, some tape on the cap before shipping may prevent it.

My plastic case was also cracked with a little hunk of plastic gone from the back (no damage or trauma to shipping box), not the end of the world, but still kind of sucks.

My CYA refill bottle was only about 1/2 full - I just thought it was supposed to be that way. Should the bottle have been full?

I've seen some emails about missing CYA reagent, and will replace them in time. But, with all the problems with getting kits out on times, I have put those things on the back burner. However, it would be convenient if I could have all those problems in one place. If y'all could please post your order #, and the problem. That will allow me to track down your address and everthing else I need easily; it's usually pretty hard for me to match forum ID's with kit orders.

But, if any one has a kit problem that is a show stopper, please let me know. I'm going to be shipping those fixes (mostly for the early salt kits) out this week, and would like to take care of your problem -- if it prevents you from using the kit or one of the tests in a kit.

    Thanks,

    Ben

Thanks for the reply Ben. Love the kit. Very nice, very professional, and an affordable price to boot.

My order number is 1911-6890-0325. Should I register this somewhere else?

Don't sweat it on the refill replacement - I just wanted you to know that there was an issue and hopefully keep it from happening to other purchasers.

Kit arrived today, it was worth the wait.

Lost about a 1/3 of the CYA reagent (the 60 ml bottle in the kit).

    Order: 1914-4914-9329

    Thanks,

    Frank

frankcav - this thread was moved over to:

to consolidate problems with test kits. You might want to repost over there to make sure that Ben sees it.

Thank you SoCalBoo. If anybody else has kit problems they need to let Ben know about, please post them in the thread linked in the post above rather than here. Thanks.
