I do need a response even if it is negative.
But anywhoo, I just last year replaced my vinyl liner, or should I say had it done, becuase I thought the process would be to hard for me. But I need to explain what I did before the guys could get out, I drained my pool real close to the pool and the water seemed to find its way back into the pool causing a few leaks and some of my concrete to little holes where the water seaped in, and also my main drains surrounding concrete came up. The pool guys replace the concrete and patced the holes. But the force of water still aloowed some water to continue trying to find new ways into the pool. The pool guy said that he was going to drop the liner in and we needed to get water in as quick as possible to put the pressure on the walls, I guess this was correct or should I have waited until the water quit running in before letting them drop the liner. And also the bottom of the pool is not a smooth surface like it use to be, at night with the light on you can see the imperfections, is this a problem or am I ok? And last but not least how much does it cost to resurface the pool and re-install the liner?
Cant change my screen name but if I could it would be BBBowlin

I am assuming that this is an In ground sand bottom pool with a liner?
Well that would depend on your water table. If the water table is above the bottom of the pool , then yes the liner needs to go in quickly and be filled ASAP.The pool guy said that he was going to drop the liner in and we needed to get water in as quick as possible to put the pressure on the walls, I guess this was correct or should I have waited until the water quit running in before letting them drop the liner. But, if it is not you should wait for the water to drain...
As for the imperfections in the bottom of the pool, it is very hard to get a sand in ground bottom absolutely perfect. when you drop the liner in its bound to move some sand no mater how careful you are.
The cost will very greatly and remember most of the time you get what you pay for unless you have a friend in the business. And last but not least how much does it cost to resurface the pool and re-install the liner?
Not to mention the fact that all the established pool contractors at this time of the year are slam packed with work, so that leaves who to call? The new guys just starting up and not well known..
I am a big fan of referances and checking with the BBB to see if complaints have been filed against the company.
Think about it..
they trowel the sand from a knee board. with water still coming in?. then they drop a vynal liner in that took 2 or 3 men to carry, or 1 man with a dolly.
So its a safe bet to say that there will infact be inperfections, droping liner, water seepage, Kicking wrinkles, or just inexperience... or all of the above...
I dont know all the facts and cannot see what your talking about so this is my best guess.

Hey, I appreciate the response. Didn't think about it long enough maybe a visual is what others need also before commenting, anyway I think I am ok. Crossing my fingers and hoping I am ok.
