I have a fast leak in my inground gunite pool. It has been suggested that my hydrostatic plug may have stuck open.
Once I get the pool drained to get to the main drain, how do I know if it is opened or closed??
Thanks,
elle

When you are down there, pull up on it a couple of times, it's usually some sand caught in it and opening it will wash it out. This works most of the time, if you want to check, you can use some phenol red dye to check for a leak. Welcome to the forum, hope this helps, if not just give a whistle and I'll get back to you - Waste![]()
