    Default air in my lines

I dont know if i have to strong of a pump 1 1/2 hp and a 150 lb sand filter. I change my pump motor from a 1 hp and to a 1 1/2 and now i have air in the lines when i hook up my vacuum line or my baricuda automatic cleaner. I have tighten the lines up and still get air in when i plug up the hose. is it posible to hae to strong of a motor.

Not only possible but sounds like you have one. There's a multitude of causes for air in the lines but your pump sounds wa-a-ay too big. The pump curve should be in your pump documentation. The gpm from your pump should not exceed your filters gpm capability.

My 1.5hp pump produces 110 gpm in my pool but my filter is capable of 140gpm...it has 950 lbs of sand.
