    Default OK, I give up!

Been trying all day to think of the name of a filter product that attaches to the return jet and is supposed to filter out extremely small particles that make it through the regular filter. Anyone know?

Googled scum bag, etc. and, while it returns a lot of interesting results, nothing for pools.

Try skimmer sock....they cost about 5 or 6 dollars for a bag of 3 or 5 depending on where you buy them. I have found them cheaper at pool stores than at walmart!

it's called the Slime Bag, not that other...

It's not the same as skimmer socks (which are great), but it's supposed to be fantastic, as good at filtering as a robotic cleaner's bag. But it's very pricey. I find I don't need it--I use skimmer socks, and add DE to my sand filter and that keeps my water sparkling.

ME BAD Carl is right! Slime bag is a micron filtration bag. It filters about as fine as a DE filter.

I bought those and put it in the skimmer, can I also put one of those on the return, if so how do you go about doing that, unscrew the return and place it behind it? I'm also going to try using DE in my sand filter.

Not sure if it's just pollen/dirt from outside but I vacuum the pool everyday and then again every morning there is a fine dust at the bottom of the pool.
