Just a heads up on the frustration that I have had with trying to get a Hayward heater fixed that I purchased recently. The heater is brand new and would not stay lit. I had a service person come out that was listed as a Hayward service center on Hayward's web site. The guy came out and consulted with Hayward on what to do and they told him that the service work was not covered on the warranty and they were going to charge me a$95 service charge to come out each time. I called Hayward's service center and told them that their warranty states that service is covered for the first 30 days according to the warranty I received. I had to fax it to him to prove it! Then he says that the first guy was only a service center and not a warranty center and he gave me someone else to call. I called them and they agreed to do the service under warranty, but would charge me $65 each time for travel expences. Hayward has been a hassle to deal with and they will not back their product even when it is their defect. I will never buy another one of hayward's products again!
