You can get Muratic acid from the hardware store. The size of the pool would dictate how much you would want to add to get PH close to 7.5. When you add stabilizer (CYA) it will lower the PH a lttle further due to it being an acid. I added 4 pounds of stabilizer to a 16,000 gallon pool. My CYA is around 35.
Until you have stabilizer in your pool, add chlorine at sunset. That way it can work on what it needs to work on without losing chlorine due to exposure to sunlight. Once you have stabilizer in your pool, you still want to add bleach at night, but you won't lose nearly as much to the sun.

Bruce,
If your CC result is correct, I suggest you shock your pool. Bring you Cl up to 10-12ppm and hold it there 'til you get that CC result to 0. Then maintain your Cl somewhere between 3-8ppm, depending on your CYA level.
Well, It's been a month since my first test. These are my numbers after adding chemicals and retesting many times. FC 2, CC .5, TC 2.5, PH 7.2, AIK 80, CAL 70, CYA 40, Temo 83. Are these OK or how can I tweek them? Thanks
