    Default Does shocking remove polyquat?

After you shock your pool, has all of the polyquat been removed? i.e. do you need to add a starter dose of polyquat again?

Interesting question Hal. based on my experience however, it seams as if it is the other way around. Every time I have added polyquat, for a few days after the FC seems to get chewed up. This could very well mean that the FC is chewing up the polyquat, though I have never looked at it that way. I usually start the weekly polyquat dose in July and then forget allot of the time so my experience is limited.
