AG Liner Install

I recently order a liner from poolstore.com out of Calif. They seemed to have the best price and luckily for me they drop shipped the liner from the manufacturer in NY, so I got it in 2 days since I'm in NJ.

I ordered a 20 ga liner and replaced a 25 ga. Although the 20 seems ok, it seems a lot thinner than a 25. If I had to do it again, Id get the 25 especially since the price difference is not that much.

For me the install was a frustrating experience, I tried to do it like Dennis suggested but I have a wrap around deck on half the pool, so I had to install it the traditional way. The best advice I can give about a liner install is PATIENCE.

Hi Snapperbig, I carry a small pair of Vise Grips in my work bag at all times. Very seldom is there a screw they won't take out. One trick you can use is if one screw has you beat, get out all the rest of the screws on that rail and then lift it slightly and move it back and forth. That should loosen the last screw.

posguy, decks do mess my system up a bit. I do the same thing as you, take the pool apart and get in. Not always a bad thing when it's 110 here in Arizona. But I would prefer to stretch them in. Just not always the case.
