    Question SoftSwim to Chlorine

Feed up with SoftSwim . . . expensive and a pain. I've read much about conversions for pools with sand filters. What potential problems might I encounter with a DE filter?

HI, when I went through my conversion i also had an earth filter. I had to backwash it at least twice a day and I could not let it run overnight for the first few days as it would plug rather fast. The pressure didn't seem to go up trhat much but the amount of water flowing back into the pool was greatly reduced. I had to take the filter apart at least once a day to clean it too. It was a pain but well worth it in the end.
