The plastic eyebolt broke off with half of the screw left in the wall anchor. This is an IG vinyl pool and the wall anchor is above the waterline. Do I have any options to repair this myself or do I need to call the pool guy?
Thanks,
Frank

An easy-out or screw-out tool should work fine. You can get one at most hardware stores. The hard part is you need to drill into the broken bolt about a quarter to a half inch. The water level of the pool may be too high for a powered drill, so some kind of hand crank drill might be needed. Once you drill the hole, the easy-out tool should do the trick.

Did the screw eye break when you were trying to remove it? If it's not stuck in the threads some people heat up a flat head screwdriver really hot and press it firmly into the remaining stubb and let it cool. Now you may be able to remove the screw using the scredriver.
Thanks for the tips, unfortunately I was not there when the eyebolt broke off. The heated screwdriver sounds like a great idea. I'll try it this weekend, and post results.
Thanks again, the heated screwdriver trick worked like a charm. The only thing to remember is to cool down the screwdriver tip before attempting to remove the screw. Just dip the screwdriver tip in the pool.![]()
