    Default automatic chlorinator

    Is it safe to add cal hpo shock thru the skimmer with the automatic chlorinator turned off?

    In a word, NO. Not worth the possible danger!..Put the cal hypo in the pool predissivled in water!
    Retired pool store and commercial pool maintenance guy.
