Re: No vac to waste, maybe looking at a "trash pump"? Need suggestions
Hey Chuck cruising around and saw this. For what its worth and depending on your set up this is what I do for bottom waste on open. I have a Polaris cleaner with aux pump. I use the Polaris hose connection and a bottom skimmer (round blue plastic ring you attach a mesh bag to) and use the aux pump to create a venturi to pick up the junk on the bottom of the pool. Whatever goes through the mesh is circulated in pool and caught by the filter. It takes a while and plenty of back washes until I get to a point where the Polaris can take over. The ring and bag is usually used with a garden hose but I cant see adding more water on open since A) pool is filled/ high and B) adding water dilutes all your chems...and its costly.
