Averaging 1 gallon of liquid chlorine per day
I’m having a strange issue which I’ve never had before. Little back story, I got a little lazy and ended up with an algae bloom for the first time in the last 4 years. I scrubbed, cleaned, brushed, and then
shocked, ran filter 24/7 for 5 days, and now I’m good to go. My water is crystal clear, all my levels look perfect, ph 7.4, CYA 40, No CC to speak of, yet still I’m having to put 1 gallon of 12.5% liquid chlorine in per day. I’ve never had to use this much chlorine in the 7 years I’ve had the pool. It has been very sunny and and hotter than normal but I don’t find it any different than any other year. I know my pool
and I know it’s eating up chlorine faster than normal. Pool is 23,900 gallons. Thoughts?
