1. Yes, it can be done, but it's a mess.
2. Here's what you need:
- Hayward "Schmear": https://www.amazon.com/dp/B005IMZNH0
- MEK solvent: https://www.lowes.com/pd/3024048
- Instructions: https://images.inyopools.com/cloud/d...structions.pdf
Basically, the product consists of PVC chips that you dissolve in MEK and then slobber on the crack. The solvent evaporates, leaving the dissolved PVC attached.
But . . .
- You MUST prep the surface first, by exposing CLEAN DRY PVC on the surface you are going to repair. You can clean it with the MEK (wear gloves and glasses!), let it dry, and then sand it a bit.
- You'll need some method of holding the 'Schmear' in place. If the crack is not on the TOP surface, you may have to tape a plastic back around the Tee. If it is on top, you may be able to make a 'dam' with Gorilla tape, or some such.
- The results -- even if they work -- will be UGLY!
- Practice, FIRST. Buy a similar Tee, and practice 'repairing' it before you try it on the real one.
Good luck!
