Thanks, Brent. That is a great tip. I just love my Dolphin. It gets the pool so clean.
I have been rinsing the bag and then washing in the washing machine. It never really gets that bogged up with dirt.

I have a ton of trees and a lot of tiny stem-like debris that really sticks to the bag. I am running the Dolphin pretty much every other day because of the leaves and other debris. Just hosing the bag doesn't work for me. I have been letting it dry as I said and shaking it. I swish it in a bucket of water with a dash of laundry detergent and it comes out clean as a whistle.
It does say to clean it as soon as it is removed from the pool, but so far I have not had a problem. I think I may invest in the filter bag made for rough debris though.

make sure you rinse real good after the swish in the deterg. Most detergents are high in phosphorus that will promote growth of green stuff.
That's why at cottages around lakes they promote phos free detergents.
good luck.
