Don't know Pool Ex but at that point I would walk away from the product. Buy something the ppl on here recommend and use.
What has been your experience with this company and its products? I had installed a PoolEx system in 2000 (Australian made) and the electrolysis "sleeves" through which the water flows went belly up in 2003. I replaced them at a cost of prox $500. Now the control unit shows "No Water Flow" and no chlorine production. The local dealer wants to sell me a new PoolEx at a "discounted" price of $675 before installation. They state the device is now manufactured on site in USA and that the old system is not serviceable. After this potential investment I'll now be up to prox $2,200 in total cost. Over a 5 year summer period the annual cost is $440 per year versus chlorine. Where's the money savings? Thought/experience good or bad with PoolEx would be very helpful.

Sylvan Gunite Pool (1979)
Plaster re-done (1997)
48 Sq Ft Hayward D.E. Filter (2003)
1.5 hp Hayward Super Pump (2006)
From my understanding the product is basically decent but the dealer support leaves a lot to be desired.
