Could it be a push-in slip/fit type? Check these out:

If so, this looks to be the current best price:

I need to replace some broken eyeball return jets in my pool, but I'm confused about one of them as it's not a regular threaded eyeball, but it's longer and seems to be either threaded or pushed into the pool wall. I can turn it, but it turns the whole thing, not only the eyeball nut itself since it's not threaded there.
Any help on what kind it is and how to go about replacing it would be appreciated.
Thanks

Thanks for the info!
I'm going to swing by the local pool store and show them the picture as well. I'll post back once I know for sure.
Great! Let us know, and good luck.

Yes, you were right. It simply took a little elbow grease to get it out. I tried 2 replacement ones and neither fit snugly but I'll make it work.
Thanks!
The one below has a "bulge" on the stem that might help. I don't like the eyeball, but it looks like you might be able to swap it out for a standard one. Maybe it's worth a call to see if they have other "bulged" ones.

Yeas, that's what I ended up getting, one with a bulge but regular looking eyeball. It fit better and ended up being flush to the wall, all worked out great.
Thanks!
Awesome! Glad the "bulge" worked and that you found a regular eyeball. Good job. Enjoy the swim season!
