    Default Pump Ran Dry

    Hi All,

For the past two days, I've been filling my AG 14'x22' AG pool and getting the chemicals balanced.

Since most of the posts I've read on the forum say to run your pump straight for 24 to 48 hours, I left the pump on when I went to work today (against my better judgement).

I came home this afternoon and found the ground flooded around the pool, and the pump was off. The hose on the filter's return had popped off and drained the pool down to the level of the return.

Luckily, after resetting the popped switch, the pump still works. Is there anything I should look for that might indicate whether the pump is damamged?

    Thanks!
    Sandy

Any excess or new noise or a leak can indicate pump damage. If you have none of the above then you're most likely OK.
