Hi all, new here.
My question is about the in ground use of Maxx-Flex HydroMaxx flexible PVC pipe.
Folks seem to do it, Manufacturer does not recommend against it.
BUT, I have read some opinions here and there that say it will be more readily attacked by Termites, or other things, more than rigid PVC Sch.40, and "will not last".
Sounds like BS to me, but I don't know.
Building a little Martini Pool using a Behlen 1000 gallon Rotomolded Polyethylene "Stock Tank"
Will be jetted like a basic round "Hot tub", so I have to ring around it jet to jet.
Have done this exact thing before at previous home, in ground, concrete patio around it, worked out awesome.
On the first Pool, I heat bent rigid Sch40, worked great.
But of course, the heat bending was pretty time consuming.
So I want to use the Flex this time.
Location is in warm TX, never freezing, sandy soil.
In our area, we have no notable Termite problems, or gophers, rats, etc.
Nothing worse than average.
So, the plumbing of the pool will be in dirt about a foot down.
I may also use the flex to run to the support equipment, 15' away in a shed.
Nothing will be exposed to Sun UV or any possibility of physical damage.
So - final specific questions...
Any problem w this idea?
Is there a better flex pipe that Maxx-Flex?
Lastly, the white or black, either?
AND, the regular flex, or the "Ultra" ?
Thank you All, Marc
