Is it possible that a very small amount of small stones/gravel laying on top of a vinyl liner (NOT beneath the liner but within the pool itself) in the bottom of an in-ground pool could cause tiny pinhole leaks in the vinyl liner? no rust marks or other visible markings, just nearly invisible pinholes (only visible when pool is complelety drained of water and even then barely discernible). And this is when the pool is closed and covered and not circulating or being used.
Is it more likely that undiluted chlorine granules laying on the liner could cause these types of pinhole leaks?
I have asked several other sources who concur with the chlorine theory but would appreciate this forum's input.
Thank you.
