Seems to me you are doing everything right. I have never done an AA treatment, but I have read that cloudiness is very common after AA and that it should go away pretty shortly.

26K gal 20x40 rectangular IG vinyl pool; Apr 2014: New pump, liner, auto-cover, & water; Pentair Whisperflo 1HP pump; Pentair Trition sand filter; Cover/Star CS-500 auto cover; Taylor K-2006C; OTO
Thanks for the vote of confidence :-)
It actually is now starting to clear all on its own! I can see the outline of the drain anyway.
Since it is also now holding chlorine, do you think I can turn off my pump and set it back to its normal schedule? It's been running 24/7 for 10 days (including the time it was running without the filter).
Much appreciated!
I believe the filter is what is removing the cloudiness right now. If it was my pool, I wouldn't worry about electricity cost. I would wait until your pool gets back to it's normal clarity and balance. You have done great all these years. No sense in gambling now! Good job! Just my opinion.

Ahhh...that makes sense.
Thanks again!!
Keep us informed. It's always a great learning experience to hear how things turn out!

Far better to remove the metals than just sequester them with HEDP which will use up more chlorine as the chlorine burns out the HEDP all ready for you to go back to the pool shop for some more.
