I plan to get more involved in BBB, though will rely mainly on our pool guy until I get smarter on the topic.

The immediate problem, though, is that we just got an underground line replaced, which entailed emptying half the pool. I refilled the pool, but most of the chemicals added by the pool guy a few days ago are likely too diluted to be of any good. IOW, I think there is very little chlorine in the pool. I've asked that the pool guy come by before his normal maintenance day, but I'm not sure that's going to happen.

So, my question is, should I do nothing for a week -- i.e., "First, do no harm" and just wait for the pool guy, which could be five days or so?

Or should I at least pour some bleach into the pool, or maybe add an additional chlorine tab to the floating chlorinator.

I realize more than chlorine is at stake. There's pH, TA, etc. Unfortunately, I don't have a test kit and my sole concern is to prevent algae from growing over the next few days before the pool guy can get here.

Thanks!
