    Unhappy chems good...bright green cloudy pool

    CYA - 50
    FC - 18 to 25 for last 2 days
    PH - 7.6
    ALK - 80
    cal - 90

    dead algie on the bottom but still a bright green.
    Put 2 gallons of splash free clorine, thanks to a stock person mixing it in w/the reg, 3 days ago. could that be part of my prob?
    This is the first time i have had algee i couldnt clear in a day or 2 ugg

    Do you have a CC reading? I will share that for the last 2 years, no more than once during the swim season, I get a green pool but ALL my numbers look good, including CC, and I don't lose chlorine overnight. Unsure why. What has saved me is a little bit of polyquat algaecide, and overnight pool is clear.

    yes i did thx!

    Just must have been a stubborn strain. took a week and I did add the algicide which i usually only add to winterize. I also think weeks of 90+ degrees didn't help
