I purchased an Intex 8x30ft pool for my toddler daughter. It holds around 630 gallons. I have a 530 gallon/hr filter. I would like to add chemicals to the pool to avoid having to change the water through out the summer. I have 1" chlorinating tabs and algaecide. Ive been trying to do the research to properly maintain this pool but all the info I'm finding is for bigger pools that hold over 1000 gallons. I've also read that I need to "shock" the pool upon filling but I'm not sure what chemicals to get. What do I need to start? Do I really need the algaecide if I don't have an algae problem? Can the chlorinating tabs be used to shock or are the just to maintain? Do I need dichlor and borax along with household bleach? I'm sorry I know it's a lot of questions but I'm really in need of some experienced help! I'm happy I found this forum! Thanks in advance!!!
