Agreed with FBU. If its green, its algae, and if you are not getting you chlorine up high enough according to the best guess chart, you'll be spinning your wheels.
DAY FOUR:
Significant improvement in clarity. pH = 7.4 Chlorine = 7.0 ppm Backwashing twice a day, less brown each time.
Definitely going the right direction.
I havent tested cya because I ran out of testing fluid and forgot over the winter.
I did treat for 12k gallons so it's gotta be in the ballpark.
I'll let you know when I can test it.

I nailed it: 5.5 ppm vs 6.5 ppm last night, 7 hours ago.
