My pool had gone green...... I terminated the algae cycle (without spending hundreds of dollars, like I did the first time), but in my blondness I didn't really READ the label - just skimmed i to make certain I knew how long to let the pump run before I turned it off for the night. In the morning, my pool looked beautiful...... I vacuumed (to waste) the junk off the bottom, backwashed, rinsed, and set it to filter. Several hours later, ready to enjoy my nice clean pool..... i discovered the entire pool was covered with white soap-like scum. Not knowing that I had already used too much flocc, I added more flocc, to get the stuff to sink, so I could get rid of it!! Dumb move...... I should have gone online first...... But..... now for the fourth day, I have turned off my pump.... let the stuff settle, vacuumed to waste, etc....... and as soon as I turn the pump back on to filter, it starts spitting the white foamy stuff again. Will that junk go way if I keep my filter running 24/7 or do I need some kind of neutralizing agent to fix it? My frustration level is through the roof! This has never happened to me before (have had pools for the last 10 years)and I can't find anything on the internet that will explain what to do next. HELP!!!! Thanks for letting this newbie post!!!
