I bought a house that was in forclosure 5 yrs ago. It had sat empty for 3 yrs so the pool just sat with a mesh cover on it and no pump running. A new vinyl liner was installed in my kidney shaped pool approx 4 yrs ago. I now how several large wrinkles and the liner is separating from the wall in a few areas. I also notice that when I'm standing in the pool, some areas on the bottom feel like hard concrete where others feel normal. I live on a hill and the basement walks out to the pool. I had two underground drain tiles from the house that were leaking, which caused the cement walk around the pool to crack but new ones were put in (above ground for now) and routed away from the house and pool. I am planning on closing it at the first of October. Do I need to drain the pool, have the liner taken out, and have the pool structure checked? Now? Or can it wait until I open it in the Spring? Is there a way to leave the water in and get the wrinkles out. I believe the erosion / drain tile issue is fixed now. Please help. We have two pool companies in our town...the one that put the pool in and then the new liner and another company that doesn't get very good reviews. I need a professional opinion in the worst way!
