Long story short my wife dosent care about pool cemicals and think im indane for trying to figure this out on my own and reading up on pool care. Im willing to try anything please help. I have a 1700 gallon 12x39 hth pool so far i have ph minus clorine granules which im reading are useless compared to bleach and i have a 6 way test i got from Walmart to help with your questions on the cya levels. Iv read on the threads on the subject but i wanted to get a fresh thread going. My ph is about 7.5 i havent been avle to get the chlorine up to 1 ppm since iv had it which is about 2 weeks now there is slime on the bottom. I brushed it vacumed it now i need to start the journey to a fresh pool where do i start first oh all knowing wizdom filled pool experts that arent in hths pocket! Please and thanks.
