If you are using a 10 ml water sample, don't forget that you multiply the number of R-0871 drops by 0.5 (or equivalently, divide the number of drops by 2). Are you doing that?
Also, wipe the dropper tip with a damp cloth just in case it has static electricity on it. The drops should not squirt out but should be well-formed hanging drops.
