No, haven't heard from him despite multiple attempts to reach him. I'd say it's unlikely we will see him again. It's a shame, really. This used to be a wonderful forum! Sorry that the moderators can't approve new registrants.

I expect eventually he'll come back, but Who Knows When? This is the 2nd time he's vanished for a long time. 2 of our fellow moderators have dropped out, in part, as a result.
Meanwhile, WM and I are doing what we can as much as we can.
